move over a few things to prevent data loss first. That's the annoying
part, with my mobo dying I didn't have a chance to move the files over
before this new build.

Ryan, I appreciate that man, but I'm good on my end with windows 10. I'm
going to first see if I can get that adapter, if not, I'll just have to
pull the files off some other way and reinstall.

You can try a hub to have them load up as 2.0. You might luck out.
