Both of those aren't bad. If you can get a more modern CPU it would be
better in regards to longetivity. The older 2xxx series CPUs are still very
good but you need to overclock so they're not bottlenecking new GPUs. I'd
make an offer of $500 cash for this first: better CPU, GPU, etc:

Hey guys.  So my computer has potentially pooped out and I will be in the
market for something new.  Unfortunately I can't throw down enough money
for a gaming rig (iPad also pooped out fortunately) but I want to get
something that I could get a better video card for in the nearish future.



I'm wanting to get something around $500ish.  What would be your
suggestions?
