While I understand that is the way things are, I disagree. Meeting someone
else's fashion standards has nothing to do with their work ethic or
skills. And my personal experience has been that the best dressed colleges
I have had in IT were the least able to do actual work and mostly excelled
at writing emails to make there failings appear to be wins.

For an interview, I'd recommend taking that very literally but you
