Jack,
Different states are playing games with retired LEO's. I believe Rhode Island
only recognizes LEOSA for retired RI LEOs only. But Ken is definitely the
expert on this.

Hi Bill,
I'm wondering if (and where?) I may have a problem with carrying a
handgun under the LEOSA (HR-218) law? I always assumed that (with few
exceptions, mag capacity, etc) I'm OK anywhere in the US?.. (but, it
don't hurt to ask, ha!)
I'm a Bradford member, and a retired PO living in CT.
Thanks much,

For any non-residents of RI:
I just got a call from E Greenwich Police Dept that my RI non-resident
concealed carry pistol permit has been granted. I'll get over there later
today and pick it up
I applied 3 1/2 weeks ago, had to make one short (20 minute) onsite
interview, and they finger printed and photographed me. I have exactly 0
complaints about that.
I asked if I could share the contact info and my positive experience, and
Holly said "yes, absolutely" - so here it is:
Holly Zenga was the only person I talked to. For references, she only
required I provide names and contact info. (Some towns require notarized
reference letters with application). Additional note: Holly will leave my
permit with the dispatcher, so I can pick it up 24/7. I just need to bring
a check for $40.00
Any questions on process, here is Holly's info. She told me she prefers
phone calls.
One other note: Holly herself has Utah non-res permit, so she's one of us
;-)
