I hate to be one of those guys who keeps sending e-mails blasting everyone
with info - but this is serious for all who live in CT.

Read the info on the following two bills that will be up for public
comment. Write to your CT representative and senator. Also consider sending
a polite but firm e-mail for public comment on this stuff.

Contact CCDL for advice on how best to respond to this. If nothing else,
submit an email saying you OPPOSE both of these.

*Here are high level details on the two proposed bills*:

*6667 - AN ACT ADDRESSING GUN VIOLENCE*.

Outlaw open carry
Outlaw carry in bars/restaurants that serve alcohol
Outlaw ghost guns - including all existing ones
Outlaw posession of any guns that do not have serial numbers
Limit purchase/sale/transfer of 1 gun/month - including personal
transactions
Require STATE permit to sell firearms (above and beyond FFL)
Re-define CT "others" as "assault weapons"
Outlaw all "assault weapons", INCLUDING pre-bans and CT "others"
Pistol permit classes will requre 2 hours training on state laws and 2
hours live fire training

Pistol Permit goes up to $200.00

Require police to file annual reports on any stops conducted on suspicion
of "open carry" or carrying w/o a permit

RAISING THE AGE TO PURCHASE AMMUNITION AND RESTRICTING
THE SALE AND POSSESSION OF BODY ARMOR
