Good morning, BAISLrs!

I need to pick your collective brain.

Our library has two ways to enter: first, through a one-way turnstile and
second, through an RFID entrance. Our ancient entrance turnstile has broken
to the point that it is no longer repairable and we had to pull it out of
the way to allow easier entrance. Now, of course, kids go out through both
the RFID and the open gap where turnstile used to be, making it really easy
to accidentally walk away with library materials.

There are two solutions I've determined.

1) We could buy a new turnstile. New ones are very, very expensive, and I
don't think it would be a responsible use of our budget. Does anyone have a
lead on a used one?

2) We could block of where the turnstile was and have a single way in and
out. That definitely will lead to bottlenecking during high use times like
break and lunch when there are lots of kids both coming in and going out.

I know I'm not thinking broadly enough about this, so I'm tossing it out
into the world. Hive mind--do you have other ideas you can share with me?

Many thanks!
Christina
