Max Philbrook (maxwell.philbrook@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
<mailto:maxwell.philbrook@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> ) at Walden's Writing Center has
been developing two policies for Walden which have now been approved at the
university level :

1.  The Gender-Neutral Pronoun policy

2. The Identify-First Language policy.

The goal was to given students more flexibility with how they refer to
people and groups beyond the strictures of APA style.
