Hi, Lisa,
I’ve tried to cap ours at 99 for each list 6-8th grades. I add more each
year, but also remove others trying to keep a balance of genres informed by
what is popular in the class. For instance we had a dystopian class a few
years ago so that genre stayed popular until this year when I needed to add
in more realistic and horror books. We also add in some subject headings so
students can see what interests them.

Hello,Jo Melinson
I would love to hear what other people do for summer reading lists. I add
more to my lists each year, including newly published books, but my lists
are now getting so long. While some parents appreciate the comprehensive
lists, I wonder if it is time to simplify them. What do others in a K-8
school do for summer reading lists? Thank you.
Best, Lisa
