We have self check-out sort of out of necessity, as someone is not at the
library desk at all times because both librarians serve multiple roles and
are often in classrooms, and there are multiple entrances and exits into
the library. However, I wish it were not the case, as library materials go
missing ALL the time. :(
We have both a computer system (Alexandria) with a dedicated computer and
still use a card system as a back up.

We do not use self check. I don’t want to miss an opportunity to interact

Do any of you offer self check-out for your students? If so, do you use a
dedicated computer or another device? Does anyone happen to use an iPad
(requiring a photo of the library card and a photo of the book's barcode)?
How are any of these options working for you?
Thanks so much, and have a happy weekend!
