Dear BAISL Friends;
Some of you already know that I will retire at the end of this school year. I
have been the Librarian at Bellarmine for 17 years, and worked the previous 5
years as Assistant Librarian here under Joan Lundgard, who was the Librarian
here for 31 years. I guess we both knew that there wasn't any better job than
working here as Librarian. I am very excited to have time to work harder in my
garden, focus on home improvement, and take care of friends and relatives who
need help getting around. I expect to travel when school is in session and
destinations are less crowded.
BAISL has always been the most useful of all the Library organizations that I
have belonged to. It is really a bargain, as well as being the most fun. I
haven't recently attended as many meetings as I used to, but I value the list
and the web site, and especially all the friends I have enjoyed over the years.
I don't know what the school will do about my vacancy. I have provided the
instructions for posting the position on the BAISL website, and showed the
administer who will hire someone the postings already on the web site. I will
certainly let you know when/if Bellarmine advertises for a Librarian. I am not
certain that they are convinced that a Librarian is necessary.
I hope to attend the Spring meeting, but am not certain that I will.
Thanks for all the ideas you have shared over the years. You guys are the best!
Sincerely,
Ann
