Here are summaries of the responsibilities of each office:
*President-elect. *The President-elect is responsible for the programming
of semi-annual full-membership meetings, organization of regional meetings,
and communications to the membership about BAISL events. This position has
a two-school-year term as president-elect, followed by a two-school-year
term as President. The President-elect maintains an understanding of
BAISL initiatives and communicates regularly with the President to ensure a
smooth transition between posts.
*Communications Director. *The Communications Director is responsible for
managing the BAISL website and mailing list, supporting members in joining
and renewing their memberships., and processing BAISL membership checks.
The Communications Director should have experience managing hosted web
services and possess strong communication skills. This position has a
two-school-year term.
*Treasurer. *The Treasurer coordinates with the President and the
Communications Director to record and deposit membership dues. The
Treasurer will also successfully manage the BAISL bank account and report
on the financial status of the account at meetings. This position has a
one-school-year term cross-training with the outgoing Treasurer, followed
by a two-school-year term.
