We send most of our textbooks to College track. My city library (I live in
San Carlos) will take anything - I sometimes feel badly about the old
library books I give them but they say it's fine as long as I don't bring
too many at once. You might want to check your local library. I know the
city of Palo Alto will take textbooks in their recycling program; not sure
if that is done in other cities.
