[baisl] Re: Question for high school librarians - on food in library

At Sacramento Country Day School, we allow drinks any time (and once a week
in winter have tea available). Kids can eat during events such as monthly
Book Club or Political Puzzles or Music in the Library, but can't on a
regular basis. When it rains, we let them eat in the library only during
lunchtime (a set time for our school 12:05-12:45). However, they can
collectively lose that privilege if they don't clean up after themselves.
If they lose it, it's usually for the quarter or the semester depending on
the severity. There are often evening events that include food (and often
that is when we have the worst spills).

Dear high school librarian colleagues,

Quick question:  *do you allow students and faculty to eat lunch in your
high school library?*

Thanks,
Mary Anne
