Hi Debra,
We have two tinkering teachers, both of whom have additional
responsibilities as well -- one as a technology specialist, the other as
the garden teacher. Our tinkering lab, media center, and library all fall
under the same department, and we integrate as often as we can, but we
serve discrete functions.
We are in the midst of a massive construction project that will bring our
library learning commons, media center, and tinkering space under the same
roof. Right now, the tinkering lab is in a portable, and within the next 48
hours our library will consist of an appropriated conference room and a
storage pod! Personally, I love to sew and create, so I hope to spend more
time working with our tinkering functions down the line!
You're welcome to come visit any time to meet our faculty and check out our
space. I'm happy to set up an introduction for you!
