Speak is on our recommended pleasure reading list at Casti.
Also we are in talks with Laurie Halse Anderson in hopes of arranging for
her to work with our students (probably the 7th grade). This is in light of
her commitment to excellence in dealing with painful aspects of race and
history in her Seeds of America series. Laurie is an author with a profound
sense of responsibility and respect for her subject matter.
