Hello, all,
I hope your school year is wrapping up smoothly!
As you may know, a few BAISL folks (including Tasha Bergson-Michelson,
Debbie Abilock, Sue Smith, and yours truly) are working with a team lead by
colleagues at University of Michigan on developing materials and strategies
to help librarians add data literacy skills to information literacy
instruction. Part of this work includes a free two day web-based conference
happening July 20 and 21, 2017. This year's sessions will focus on big
data, citizen science, privacy and personal data, and ethical use of data.
It would be wonderful to "see" some of you there. Check out the details
below, and let me know if you have questions.
