Sounds like this ought to be a collaborating workshop at a BAISL meeting!

Subject: Re: AISL: Evaluating Websites
Helo all,
Patricia, we are in the process of doing scope and sequence charting for our
information literacy and digital citizenship lessons -- and revising these
lessons as the S&S process makes deficits appartent. I would also appreciate
seeing how you approach media literacy/website evaluation.
Thank you,

Hello Patricia,
I teach a Lower School Unit on Evaluating Websites. I would also love to see
your presentation in hopes I could adapt some of your ideas.

Alexandria,
I am going to send you a slideshow from a media literacy presentation I did
last week.
Not all of it will be pertinent to you b/c I co presented with an AP English
teacher on ways we collaborate.
But the resources listed will (I hope) be helpful to you.

Hello all,
I'm wanting to revamp our unit on evaluating websites/information for 5th
grade. I would love a project-based lesson that would cover a few weeks of
library classes and independent work for students or they could be in small
groups or pairs. Does anyone have anything they currently use or have any ideas?
I've done Dog Island and I've used Northwest Tree Octopus with standalone
lessons or for introducing the idea.
Even if you have something for 6th grade, I think I can work with it. We see
our 5th graders for 45 minutes once a week. But part of class time is checkout
time.
Thanks,
Alex
