We have 16 open Library positions in OUSD.
This position (below) is unique in that the library has been closed for
many years, and we are looking for - YOU! - with the ability to develop the
collection, the actual library space, as well as provide access to the space
for book checkout and any programming you'd like to do. YOU could either
think of this as a one year project, OR, ideally, would like to develop the
collection, space and programming and continue on to be the School
Librarian!
Support:
* School administration and community that is excited and ready for
an onsite library, along with onsite support of teachers who have worked to
develop the collection!
* District Librarian with extensive knowledge of diverse collection
development and opening closed libraries and District Library team ready
with team support
* Healthy funding for library development.
Along with your middle/high and ESL diverse collection development
expertise, we also prefer:
* Knowledge of Destiny
* Knowledge of basic cataloging
* Spanish speaker or attendee of Spanish bookfairs :-)
* The ability to work M-TH until 6pm (late start fine).
* Fun writing programming ideas and implementation
