I've found VHS tape takers on SF Freecycle

is Burlingame's Freecycle yahoo group
<https://groups.freecycle.org/group/Burlingame/posts/all> which, while it
may be more convenient, might have fewer potential takers.
Good luck keeping them out of the recycle bin!
