The Cataloging of Children's Materials Committee (a committee in the Cataloging
and Metadata Management Section (CaMMS) of ALCTS), along with its co-sponsor
OLAC, is pleased to sponsor the following preconference at the 2015 ALA
Annual Conference in San Francisco, California:

Cataloging Special Formats for the Child in All of Us Using RDA and MARC21
Thursday, June 25, 2015, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

This preconference workshop will provide practical information on the
descriptive
cataloging of children's materials, using RDA and MARC21. Attendees will
participate in hands-on exercises which will include using tools and
documentation in support of cataloging with RDA. The following materials
types will be covered: video recordings, sound recordings, video games,
three-dimensional objects, kits, books with accompanying material in a special
format, games, and two-dimensional materials such as pictures and flash
cards.
