Virtual Data Literacy Conference
Join us! July 14 and 15, 2016
We are delighted to announce a new satellite of the 4T Virtual Conference:
the 4T Virtual Conference on Data Literacy (4TDL)!
Students encounter data and statistics everywhere - at work, home, online,
and at school. But do they know what those statistics mean, how they were
gathered, and with what criteria?
We propose that data literacy is a new frontier in reading comprehension and
citizenship. This free online conference - including free Michigan
continuing education credits (known as SCECHs in our state) will bring
together high school educators, librarians (who are also educators, of
course!), and others interested in how we can build the data and statistical
literacy capacity of high school students. Participants from around the
world are welcome to join us!
Our presenters are members of our project team

This year's conference is the first in a two-year project. This year's
themes include:
* Statistical literacy
* Data visualization
* Data in arguments
The virtual conference takes place in Blackboard Collaborate. Register
