Hi Julia:

Thanks for being in touch…I apologize for not reaching out to you earlier to
see how things are going for you, your family and the new school. Hopefully
you’ll see Kathleen today at a conference being hosted at Prospect…I asked her
to extend my greetings personally.

So, how are things? We miss you here, needless to say and Jenny has had some
big shoes to fill but she’s finding her way…it takes time as you know. How is
Penelope doing this year with school? How are you enjoying Prospect? Are you
planning on attending the upcoming BAISL meeting where we can catch-up in
person?

Thanks for the Banned Book display info…very helpful as we navigate a parent
concern about our similar display. The fun never stops…I hope you are well and
I think of you often. Look forward to catching up on person sometime soon.

Fondly,

Jim

Hi Jim!
We had students pose with a banned book mug-shot style and had a discussion in
library skills class about censorship, the first amendment and writer/political
prisoners. The display inspired lots of student interaction.
Hope you're doing well!
Julia

Dear Colleagues:

Could you tell me if you organize a “Banned Books” display at your school? I’m
particularly interested if you are a Middle School Librarian (grades 6-8)?
Thanks for any responses!
