Hi Liz,

Thank you so much for all this information!

Do you feel as if this meeting would be beneficial to me as a Preschool
through 8th grade Librarian? I just wanted to check since you are a Middle
and High School (if I have that correct).

I really appreciate your time and thank you so much!

Warmly,
Anne

Dear BAISL Members,

Please see the action items below for our spring meeting.
Parking/transportation directions and a draft agenda are at the end of this
email. I am looking forward to seeing you at Menlo on March 12!

*1. Please reply at this link if you will attend our March 12 meeting at
Menlo School (RSVP deadline 3/2/18) <https://www.baisl.org/event-2653057>*
*2. Attendees, come with a favorite book and a tough/interesting reference
question in mind to pitch to your grade-level cohort. And if you're willing
to share a booktalk or reference question/strategy with the whole group,
email me off the listserv: lpricepatel@xxxxxxxxxxxx
<lpricepatel@xxxxxxxxxxxx>.*

*A Note from Cathy Rettberg*
Welcome to Menlo School! We look forward to seeing many of you, and to
showing off our newly remodeled library.

School address: 50 Valparaiso Ave, Atherton
<https://maps.google.com/?q=50+Valparaiso+Ave,+Atherton&entry=gmail&source=g>.
We are halfway between 101 and 280 so either route will work.

*Parking at Menlo*
There is no school the day of our conference, but the teachers are having
a professional development day. There should be plenty of parking in either
of our lots. When you enter the school from Valparaiso the larger parking
lot is on the right - that is probably the best bet, but the lot on the
left is also an option.

*CalTrain*
If you want to take the train, the station is about eight blocks away.
It's a nice walk - there is a Starbucks and a Peet's on Santa Cruz Avenue
which is the most direct route to campus. There is also a new coffee place
called Coffeebar at 1149 Chestnut which is on the way. Coffee is excellent,
fun vibe, long lines because it's new and hip.
Keep walking west on Santa Cruz Ave (or on Oak Grove if you went to
Coffeebar).
At University Avenue turn north and it will take you straight into campus.

The library is located in Stent Hall, which is the big white building that
you'll see as you enter the campus. Come in the front door (it's on the
right), walk past reception, and you will be in the library.

*Draft Agenda*
8:45-9:15 Coffee and Conversation
9:15 Welcome from Menlo and Business Meeting/Committee Reports
10:15 Break
10:45 Favorite Books
11:45 Professional Development Report, Qi Huang
12:15 Tour Menlo's new library space
12:30 Lunch
1:30 Reference time
