(I am replying all, in case this is helpful to anyone else.)
I believe it was University Liggett School, in Michigan. The class is
called ARP 9

so you can look for more information on the website. As I understand it,
the instructional librarian and study skills (student services?) specialist
co-teach this class. I recall hearing that the work students to do practice
these skills comes from their other core classes. The way it was described
to me, a history teacher will assign a paper, and the paper will move into
the ARP class while students learn the research skills they need and carry
out the research in a scaffolded environment. The history class, meanwhile,
will continue on with its own content. Once student research is complete,
the paper moves back into the history classroom and another discipline's
work comes into the ARP class. Throughout, the ARP class is following a
planned curriculum of research and study skills.
This was my understanding. It sounds like a highly coordinated model, but
ones that brings together a free-standing IL class with IL education that
is integrated into the curriculum. Very interesting.

amazing integrated research program that I believe a high school had
somewhere in the midwest where different classes rotated out of the library
during intensive research projects. Did we find out what school that was?
As we plan our brand new MS we have the opportunity to visit schools far
and wide and this may be a good one to look at!
