a free service that provides access to digital books (with audio and
highlighted text) to kids with dyslexia and other specific learning
disabilities. * Downside:* Students must meet certain criteria for access.
Commonsense Media says:
"Bookshare is an outstanding online library of digital books for kids with
print disabilities. Bookshare membership is available to kids who provide
proof of their print disability, such as blindness or low vision, a
learning disability, or a physical disability that makes it difficult or
impossible to read standard print. Downloaded books (including textbooks,
kid-friendly novels, and more) can be read with a Web browser, free
computer applications, or mobile device apps. Used with these tools,
Bookshare allows kids to independently read more than 200,000 titles that
they may not have been able to access otherwise."

Department to look into providing audiobooks of class readings for
students with specific accommodations, and I'm wondering how you address
this at your schools?
Previously, families have been purchasing their own copies through
Audible, but they would like a way for us to provide them. I know we offer
some through OverDrive, but those are quite expense. Just wondering what
else is out there?
