I really enjoyed Everything I Never Told you by Celeste Ng. It's one of my
favorites. The main character's paternal grandparents are from Asia. It is *not
*a book about suicide but it could seem like it. I also enjoyed The Tea
Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See. The main character's daughter gets
adopted to somewhere in U.S. I can't remember if the main character comes
to U.S.
