Hi Judy,
I see the benefits of digital content mostly for students who need audio
support for reading. For them, our subscription to Learning Ally has been
really important. They are using Learning Ally for their required class
reading as well as for their student choice books that they need for
language arts.
Overdrive has been great for certain kids who really prefer ebooks to print
books. This ranges from little kids who love the read-to-me books to 3-5
graders who are more comfortable reading on their devices.

A number of us are using Overdrive - is that what you mean? I also have
just a few Gale ebooks, and I have an ebook collection from EBSCO. I have
mixed feelings about all of this - I don't like using different platforms
(a print book functions the same regardless of the publisher; not so with
ebooks) and the students are pretty clear that they prefer reading print
over ebooks for recreational reading. Ebooks are really handy for research
though and ours get a good bit of use. It's a nice way to quickly expand
the research capabilities of the library without having to house a large
print collection.

Hi everyone,
Just for clarification, by adopting digital content, I meant purchasing
Ebooks and EAudiobooks.
Thanks,
Judy

Hi everyone,
We are considering adopting digital content for our school, so I thought
I'd send out a quick survey to get feedback regarding it's benefits and
drawbacks.
1. Has your school adopted digital content? If so, what do you see are
the benefits? Drawbacks? If not, what's holding your school back from
adopting digital content?
Thank you for your feedback.
