In Response to Rons original message.
This follows a recent case where a woman wearing a burqa was stopped by a LEO
and given a traffic infringement notice. She then laid a complaint the officer
had insulted and offended ( racially and religiously vilified ) her by trying
to to rip her veil off. (dumb move) She was prosecuted for making a false
complaint and perjury when she persisted at court, and the video from the dash
cam she was not aware of, became her undoing. Unfortunately, her switched on
scum sucker, had her beat the charges as the prosecution were then unable to
positively identify the person in court as the burqa wearing woman in the video
who was issued the original infringement notice, nor as the woman who made the
complaint. ( I not sure how you guys can tell, but to me one burqa looks like
another )
It also follows a trend around the country in some areas to attempt to add a
ban of wearing of burqas in shopping malls and banks etc, the same as it
applies to the ban on wearing full face motorcycle helmets etc.
There is also a movement here at the moment allowing the imposition of sharia
law among and on the muslim population by their own, ignoring the national and
state legal systems. This has started quite a fair amount of public debate.

have to remove veils and show their faces to
police on request or risk a prison sentence under
proposed new laws in Australia's most populous
state that have drawn criticism as culturally insensitive.
