Hello All,
I have decided to withdraw from the National Sound Tennis Tournament and not
to enter future competitions. I haven't been playing tennis for a little while
now and there has been a significant improvement with my hip. Although running
itself does aggravate it to a degree, tennis causes significant pain and sets
me back each time I play. I recently saw a hip specialist and we discussed the
results of X-rays and previous MRI Scans. With this knowledge and the very
noticeable improvement in my hip since I've stopped playing tennis, indicates
to me that if I want to continue running at my optimum I should give up tennis.
The fact is, running is a way of life for me so I think you will understand
why I have made this decision. Apart from this, I believe that I have reached
the end point of my development in this sport. To be frank, I am slowly being
left behind due to the fantastic progress, that my friends (who happen to be my
opponents) have made and continue to make. My Withd

from playing Tennis though, doesn't mean that I am no longer interested in
it, and therefore, I will continue to follow the development of this amazing
sport. I would like to thank you all for the help and encouragement you have
given me over the years so that I could play and compete in this amazing game.
Finally but most importantly, I would really like to express how much I value
the friends that I have found whilst playing Sound Tennis. I will very much
miss you all but hopefully, I will see you from time to time.
