For the benefit of anyone here who isn't registered for Sutton but is
curious about what's going on, I thought I'd send a quick update.
Gill Andersson (the tournament referee) sent a circular email out this
morning, saying that the tournament was going to be redrawn with men and
women combined into a single competition - as originally planned. The
match format is going back to what we used at the nationals (short set to 4
with tie-break at 4-4), except that we're going to play advantage instead
of sudden death at deuce.
In addition, she said that they may alter the format through the regional
series and for the nationals, based on feedback received from the
tournaments along the way.
So, all that sounds pretty good to me.
