Stan, Some companies include Spectrum, at http://www.spectrum-coatings.com/telescop.htm#Telescope%20Mirrors Clausing, at http://www.clausing.com/ and Bob Fies, at http://home.covad.net/~alcoat/ Bob Fies is less than half the price of the first two. Figure ~$10 per inch for Spectrum or Clausing. I recently had my 14" mirror coated by Bob, and am satisfied. However, Mr Fies only offers 89% AlSiO while Spectrum and Clausing offer exotic high reflectance coatings like Diamond-Brite (Clausing). He was a machinist for meade for a long time and has a 9" mirror that needs to be re-aluminized. Does anyone have a good source for having this done. Thanks -- have a great day, and a clear night Stan Clark 33.43N, 112.35 W Saguaro Astronomy Club Webmaster www.saguaroastro.org -- -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
