Well, they are definitely Martians or something. Any of you Von Daniken
fans want to guess what they are trying to say?

I vote for: SEND MORE CHUCK BERRY

Subject: [AZ-Observing] help! geosynchronous satellites ?

Hi, hopefully someone can help identify these, I got my film back today and
on the 4x5 fish-eye trails I spotted
20 plus stationary " stars" they are all in the same approximate
declination of M42, some are brighter than others.
The same spots are on a star trail shot to the south on Friday night. They
are not aircraft because of the random spacing
and they are not in a line. I am guessing geosynchronous satellites but I
have never seen this on any star trail shots
I have done. Here is a link to the full shot with the 24mmm Nikkor and a
close-up section showing the spots
I have to send Tony Hallas the 4x5 transparancies to scan so I won't have
them back for awhile. Any ideas?
