I was on a quick trip to London last week and decided to visit the Royal
Astronomy at Greenwich. Great place. One of the special events in the
Astronomy Centre was the Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year
exhibition, billed as the world's biggest international astrophotography
competition. There were some truly great images on display in a dozen or so
categories from photographers all over the world. The judging panel was a
very distinguished group, so the winners and their photographs are easily
among the best of the best in the world during 2017. As I was browsing the
winning photographs in the Galaxies category, there was an image of NGC 7331
- The Deer Lick group submitted by AZ-Observing's own Mr. Bernard Miller!
Bernard - congratulations on a truly world class performance. Your work is
on display in a prestigious institution in a high traffic location between
the galleries and the planetarium. It will probably be viewed by tens of
thousands of people, if not more, during the exhibition. Wow - great work!

however, the web images do not compare to the large format pictures in the
exhibition.
