But you won't get there for umpteen hours, by which time
the display will be over. Auckland's not such a bad place in
summer, but there's a reason there are no 4-meter telescopes in
New Zealand---Auckland has weather like Seattle.
Perhaps the advantage of a flight at the right time of day
would be the possibility of seeing the comet from high altitude,
which might be the best view you'll get!
