     The stuff toward the bottom of the visible-light image is mostly
marine-layer clouds, so isn't cold enough to show up on the water-vapor
image, which looks pretty much only at moisture at the top of the
troposphere.  The images are also about an hour apart, which accounts
for the motion of the (cold) cirrus in the northwest corner of the images,
which otherwise match reasonably well.
     The UofA IR image, on the other hand, is still showing a picture
from yesterday afternoon, which could be very confusing if you don't
check the date-stamp.
