I have been meaning to write a stand-alone endorsement for
https://www.astrospheric.com It uses the identical Canadian forecast models
as Clear Sky Chart, but the interface is much improved. Just pop down the
Map Layer to "Transparency," and hit the Play button. It takes a little
while to load, but you get a clean animation of the forecast. In today's
particular case, the map is pretty well initialized to a current satellite
image, and shows a rapid northwest-to-southwest motion that should result in
clearing by midnight.
Astrospheric has an equally excellent iOS app with the same interface
features.
