Photographed the planets again tonight, making 8 nights in a row. The more recent shots are still in the camera; will develop and post them next week. What a great run of cloud-free evenings! No thick smoke layer tonight, but enough general haze in the air to make the twilight colors beautiful. Saturn is getting low and lost in the twilight, but Mercury and Venus are still fairly high. Mercury is now ~1 degree to the left of Venus and will appear in about the same position for another week. Best view is around 8:30 p.m. --Joe Orman Joe Orman wrote: I photographed the planetary arrangement five nights in a row, Thursday through Monday.
