p.s., I should mention that before I bought my lot near Datil, I had 
tested out seeing at a subdivision called Cimmaron Ranch (or something 
like that) at Red Hill. The skies also were uniformly dark from zenith 
to horizon and a gray color but they also seemed lighter than I had 
expected.
