I got up enough energy and drank water till I nearly burst and then ventured out to observe the Sun with my 6" refractor. While I only lasted 10 minutes in the observatory I must say it was well worth the suffering. There are numerous and big sun spots on the Sun right now. It is the most interesting scene I've ever seen on the Sun. I would have grabbed some images except I think I would have damaged the webcam and computer due to the heat. What I really need is a large mirror to project the Sun's image into a shaded area. For those interested, while tortuous, a few minutes solar observing may be well rewarded.
