Thank you all for the kind words on this image (I'm the other guy ;) ).
I was very lucky to have clear skies during the lunar cycle centered on the
eclipse (although some of the early pictures had to be taken in small
windows between clouds) and to have Tom answering my cry for help when I
was down in Tucson without my telescope (I was stupid enough to bring all
my gear, except for the optical tube...).
If anyone wants to make a better version of the animated GIF or anything,
feel free to do so. I've uploaded the full resolution (5000x5000px) tif
image to google drive. You can download it from here:

(First time using google drive to share with everyone, so I hope it works).
Cheers, and let's hope the clouds go away soon (I'm learning these days
that it can actually be cloudy sometimes here...).

All-
Much as I like the recent effort, it is still tough to spot effects of
libration and moon's orbit eccentricity. For that, I much prefer the much
older gif that was made:

W/the much better recent data, could a similar gif or repeating clip be
made? Congrats again on the APOD!

Congratulations to Jean-François Gout, who has the Astronomy Picture of the
Day for March 10.

It was clear enough in Arizona to take images of the moon on 25 consecutive
nights. My entire contribution was the second to last image of the waning
crescent, and JF was gracious enough to include me as a co-author.
His GIF that nicely shows the change in angular size and libration is worth
a look as well.
