My insurance agent is going to try and run through a claim under my homeowners policy. He ask if I can get three or four of those of us there to send him an email / letter as to what happened so they know it was a massive dust devil / freak windstorm that blew the scope over and not that Jimmy Ray just dropped it. I did explain that it weighs 200 pounds and took three of us to pick it back up but independent confirmation is what they are asking for. Please contact me off line (jimmy_ray@xxxxxxx) and I'll send you his email / mailing address. I would be much indebted as I would much rather pay my $500 deductable with hopes of getting it replaced vs. having a broken, once nice telescope stuck in the back of the closet. To those who stood by and commiserated with me, thank you for being such good friends.
