Reminder--
The 110th Annual Messier Marathon officially takes place on Saturday March
21, 2015. All 110 objects are possible. Or you can just come out for some
observing with your comrades and/or nemeses.
There will be: raffle prizes--tickets $2 or 3 tickets for $5 -- must be
present to win. Jennifer will be selling tickets Saturday afternoon at the
site. Drawing will be held during dinner which starts ~5:00 p.m.
Dinner? Yes, just like last year, Lori somehow makes a dinner of Sub
sandwich, drink, chips, fruit, and cheesecake for the low low price of only
$5.00. You must purchase or reserve your meal ticket asap by E-mailing
Lori loriprause@xxxxxxxxx with your promise to pay at the door or reap the
consequences.
Midnight's Coffee Tent? Yes, that too. Free coffee, tea, cocoa available
all night. If you would like to donate a snack or a gallon of water to help
keep the marathoners energized it will be appreciated.
Can we arrive early and/or stay late? Why certainly of course. I hear some
folks will be there a week early, some arriving on Friday, and some on
Saturday. The actual Messier Marathon is only on Saturday and the potties
will arrive on Friday. Other than the potties, Saturday dinner, and the
coffee tent on Saturday night, you will need to prepare for primitive/car
camping.
