Correct me if I'm wrong AJ, but I believe the rules are that you have to observe the object with your eye through the main eyepiece of the telescope. To be eligible for SAC recognition, you have to participate in the event at Farnsworth Ranch. AJ, is there a requirement that observing the M object has to be through a telescope _at_ the MM site? Could someone show up in their big Class A diesel pusher RV, with all the comforts of home, and, if it is not possible now maybe in the future when it is, communicate through sattelite with their robotic telescope at their permanent observatory, and view the objects on their lap top inside the warmth of their RV with a cup of hot chocolate on hand?
