A supernova in M66 was discovered at magnitude 17 less than 24 hours ago by the
All Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae. While it is currently out of visual
range for most scopes, it should brighten up nicely by New Moon. Here's an
image I took earlier tonight from Tempe that shows the location of the
supernova.
