[AZ-Observing] Re: Steve Coe, 1949-2018

I first met Steve at the Buckeye observing site in 1997. Â I  had the only 
goto telescope, he was the only observer who showed an interest in my 
telescope, other observers called it a coffee Â grinder. Â We became good 
friends and observers over the next 19 years. Â I have missed Steve on the 
observing field for the last year and a half, and know I will think of him each 
time I go out. I remember the night we were sitting around talking at our 10PM 
break. We were talking about galaxies, Steve knew I was looking at lots of 
galaxies, he said I should look in Virgo as there were several thousand 
galaxies I could see. That started as Jennifer would say "Joe's little turd 
fuzzies" Â  Â  Good Night Steve, enjoy your new view of the universe.

It is my sad duty to inform you that Steve Coe has died. I was contacted
early this morning with this information by the Yavapai County Sheriff's
office via Glendale PD. Unfortunately he had serious health issues that did
not resolve in a positive manner. At this time, I have little more
information, but will share as appropriate. I am stunned and will miss him
dearly. Clear Skies, my friend.
