Speaking of deep sky charts, I just received the complete UCAC 4 catalog--
100 million stars to mag 19-- on 4 CD ROMs from the USNO. They are free for
the asking (the Navy even pays for the stamps!). I have not yet installed
them on my backup hard drive (will probably run about 25 gig), but programs
like Guide and TheSky let you import data from such catalogs and plot them
in the displays. That might even get you faint enough to challenge Chris
Hanrahan or Paul Knauth!
Log onto the USNO site
(http://www.usno.navy.mil/USNO/astrometry/optical-IR-prod/ucac) and click
the link to Brenda.hicks@xxxxxxxx and ask her for a set. Supply your mailing
address, and you'll have them in about a week.

Then again, there is the 15 pound (really) "The great atlas of the sky"
which I have over here which has stars down to 13 mag, is about 800 sq. ft
in area, take two men and a small boy to turn the pages. Not readily usable
at the eyepiece but the detail is excellent :-)

FWIW, my book "The Complete CD Atlas of the Universe", published by
Springer, comes with a CD ROM that contains several hundred high-res star
charts down to mag 9.5 that can be printed in both normal and mirror image
sky views for use at the scope too. (Unpaid political advertisement) But my
book is not free, like the link you cited.

Here is a link to some star charts that go to 8th mag. They are in pdf
format and can be printed to use at the telescope. That said one can print a
chart and mark it for desired objects and write notes on the back. Then
another chart of the same page can be printed for a different project Ken
