Howdy all;
Just a quick note to let you know what you missed. For the first two nights
Ken and I sat and got stormed on. Rain, a little hail and some mud all
around. Then it cleared off nicely.
We had three excellent nights, July 4, 5 and 6. The Milky Way was bright and
wide with beautiful contrast between the bright and dark lanes from Cygnus to
Sagittarius. I gave all three nights a rating of 8 out of 10, probably as
good as the site gets nowadays.
I used the 9.25 inch SCT for two of the clear nights and had a binocular night
for the last night. We sat in the chairs and just enjoyed the view for quite
a while on all the nights.
