I wish to give Steve Coe a belated thanks for providing the Planet
Mania Booklet. I'm saddened more people didn't show and take
advantage of it. The booklet is well done.

John Majewski and I observed with his 8" Meade SCT and my 13.1" DOB.
While Venus, Mercury and Mars were very easy and Saturn later,
Jupiter rose after we left. I have seen Uranus recently, but not that
night and I have yet to find Neptune. Pluto is visually well beyond
8" and smaller scopes and even a real challenge in larger scopes.
Still it was an interesting challenge. Since this was essentially the
first time John had used his SCT in a dark sky environment, we spent
most of the time looking at deep sky objects.

Thanks again Steve!

Jeff
