Please join us at the meeting of the Saguaro Astronomy Club on Friday, September 24. The speaker will be Frank Timmes. He is a professor at the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University. Dr. Timmes will explore supernova from white dwarf stars by discussing some historical yet brand new supernovae, contributions from amateur supernova hunters to the present state-of-the-art, near-future $1B NASA missions, and the contributions such supernova make to astrobiology.
