Some more notes on Pete: -He may have also been Vice-President of SAC, during his term a lot of great speakers gave talks at SAC meetings. (search the old newsletters) -Vintage SAC star parties at Buckeye Hills Recreation Area at the Police Shooting Range area or at a Public Star Party in Glendale: a lit up (red light) VW minibus van with lots of video stuff connected to a Celestron C8 with views being displayed to others. -Lunar Graze occultations: One time after one, at the Astro Inn Restaurant in Gila Bend, WWV time tones permeating the room as Pete views a playback of another successful graze recording during breakfast. -Appearing with Gene (and other guests from SAC, Chris Schur, Steve Coe?) on ASU Channel 8's "SpaceProbe 8" half hour weekly program at 7:00 PM (?) during the time of Comet Halley: A professional job explaining the astronomy going on and giving viewers video views of the comet. I enjoyed watching those shows. -Pete relating the many stories of his work in the Air Force and NASA: interesting stuff.=20 -A Telescope passion extraordinaire!
